Storm Ciara and the willow hurdles

Windy work on the allotment

It’s a wet and windy Sunday in Cardiff today. But that doesn’t mean there were no allotmemt chores.

We’ve tidied the edge of our plot and put down some more weed membrane for a bed at the front, behind which will be our orchard and meadow.

We’ve used a willow hurdle as border edging.

We’ve also used some willow hurdles as a border edge. It looks great and is a traditional gardening/ small holding material. I’m hoping it still looks great as it weathers down.

Let’s hope everything stays put during the storm!
